the nightmare before christmas

Christmas is coming. Before the holidays come, however, there are so many things waiting for me to finish.

I need to write two assignments, 3000 words each. These are to be submitted in early January. There are three weeks to go, but I will be outbound for the whole next week. Therefore there are only two weeks for me to write up the essays.

This week will also be a big-feast week. On Monday my colleagues have already spent a few hours after work to celebrate my belated birthday. Our office will then hold a Christmas dinner on Wednesday, and my family will have the winter solstice dinner on Friday.

Most importantly, I have to submit the topic for the dissertation of my master programme. That's a torture lasting for a year. It seems that the pain is well-tolerated, but suddenly it happens as a breakthrough pain.

I will head for Iran next week but, apart from getting my air ticket secure, I have not even fetched my friend's racksack for the trip.

Nightmare...but hopefully everything will be "under control".

bungy jon

This video was recorded six years ago in New Zealand when I went there for my graduation expedition.

It was a snowy and windy morning. I asked the guy who tied the rope around my legs how cold it was - minus 15 degrees.

I took off my jacket before I jumped. It's was really cold, but in fact I was scared when I looked down to the river. Why did I want to do bungy jump? I wanted to show my courage. I knew that it's scary, and yet I wanted to show to myself that I could overcome any difficulty by boosting up my bravery.

Therefore you can see that I looked scared before I dived. I was also freezed in the sky because it's cold and the feeling of upside-down was a bit uncomfortable.

Free-falling in the sky is a spectacular experience that you can never take this on the ground. Anyway, I would try the jump by harnessing myself next time at a much higher altitude.

new kid on the blog

My blog is set up here today. I have not decided yet what will be put in here. Perhaps I will share my feelings and thoughts with the readers, and I hope there are visitors coming here to take a glimpse. So don't forget to leave your comments here.
